kill corruption or live it!

India is no longer a soft state.Today, people with honesty can be counted on fingers.Nothing,in present India can be accomplished without  a flavour of corruption in it. Today bribery is not done to get the wrong things done, but to get right things done at right time.Be it admission in educational university where admission is taken proportional to money or employment office where recommendations and political power overrules. It occurs at all levels of society, from local and national governments, civil society, judiciary functions, large and small businesses, military and other services and so on. As soon as India got freed from the shackles of British rule,it became the victim of the biggest social evil, corruption.People till now have been moving ahead in life without any initiative to fight against this evil,or probably they needed a spark to ignite their anguish against it.This was reflected by the support which people lended  Anna Hazare in his fight for demolishing  corruption.Anna Hazare,a Gandhian Right activist was successful in convincing people and government to  support and respond positively, by his 98 hours of starvation until death to demand the passing of JAN Lokpal Bill, which is likely to be passed by August 15,2011..In India actions speak louder than words, to make the bill get passed,he had to struggle and suffer so much at the age of 72.At the end of the day,the appreciable fact is,he was successful in accomplishing what he was battling for ,theJan Lokpal bill( (Citizen's Ombudsman Bill) which is intended to provide the common man with direct powers to censure his/her elected representative.
Lokpal will have powers to initiate suo moto action or receive complaints of corruption from the general public.
Lokpal will be much more than an Advisory Body. It should be granted powers to initiate prosecution against anyone found guilty.
Lokpal will have police powers. To say that it will be able to register FIRs.
Lokpal and anti corruption wing of CBI will be one Independent body.
The punishment should be minimum 5 years and maximum up-to life imprisonment.
Lokpal will not be a monopoly for particular area.
Undoubtedly this bill if successfully passed, would play an effective roll in checking corruption and other wrong doings and severly penalizing the cultivators of these social evils, which since independence has been depreciating the growth of our nation.
Apart from this initiative which is Government dependent,we common people can also put in our effort personally in combating corruption through various social networking sites like the one very famous and  largely accessed, the Facebook, where in people can make each other aware of the incidences of corruption that they encounter and find a solution to it. There can be NGO’S opened to look into the queries of the people in rural areas ,regarding corruption which actually poor people  face a lot. These are just a few ways out of many which if put into effect can make our nation very soon corruption free.
The entire nation has got largely inspired by Anna Hazare’s effort and has gave him a stupendous abutment in his breathtaking struggle against Corruption, which reflects the common man’s indignation for it.
We all have to keep this spirit alive till the bill gets finally passed, because in India  nothing can be believed until it is completely done.

1 crore 1 game vs 1 crore entire life

It was indeed a great honour for the country to lift the World cup after 28 years. It was certainly worth paying the indian players by BCCI a handsome amount for their for their immense hardwork and sportsmenship which has gotten glory for our country. But now arises the question, why has  the  government decided to faliciate few  players with additional  rewards? Why are they being given so much respect and honour? Why was all this not granted to the medal winners of commonwealth games? Was that not a matter of concern or worth a huge reward? If government really has that much money, why is it not taking a quick initiative to revamp the life of poor, poverished people who do not possess the basic amenities of life.Free land, money to the slum people would have been appreciable and indeed a true way of expressing the  gaeity for thecountry's victory, instead of giving it to the players in addition what BCCI has paid.
Will we anytime get answer to these 'why' factors?
